What the golf world looked like when Tom Brady made his Patriots debut
Tom Brady announced Tuesday that he will be leaving the New England Patriots after a 20-year tenure with the organization. The six-time Super Bowl champion made his NFL debut Sept. 23, 2001, when the golf world looked a lot different.
Here's what the PGA Tour looked like around that time.
Sept. 23, 2001

Robert Allenby won the Pennsylvania Classic on the same day as Brady's debut. The Australian edged Larry Mize and Rocco Mediate by three for his fourth career victory in the PGA Tour's first event since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Allenby was one of three players to win multiple times on the PGA Tour in 2000 and 2001. The others were Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, according to the Tour's Sean Martin.
