Tiger Woods will take the entire third day off at the Presidents Cup with the Americans trailing the Internationals 9-5 heading to the fourth session.
Woods elected to include himself among the four players that have to sit for the foursomes portion of the day. Tiger and Justin Thomas are the only two Americans that haven't lost or tied a match at this year's event.
Here are the pairings for Session 4:
| Americans | Internationals | |
|---|---|---|
| Dustin Johnson Gary Woodland |
vs. | Louis Oosthuizen Adam Scott |
| Justin Thomas Rickie Fowler |
vs. | Marc Leishman Abraham Ancer |
| Patrick Cantlay Xander Schauffele |
vs. | Cam Smith Sungjae Im |
| Matt Kuchar Tony Finau |
vs. | Byeong Hun An Joaquin Niemann |
The winless pair of Patrick Reed and Webb Simpson are also sitting for the Americans. Bryson DeChambeau will also miss his third straight session.
Ernie Els reunited the power duo of Louis Oosthuizen and Adam Scott. He surprisingly sent Hideki Matsuyama to the bench where the Japanese golfer will join Adam Hadwin, Haotong Li, and C.T. Pan.
