Tiger headlines 6-man exhibition contest ahead of Hero World Challenge
Tiger Woods will host and compete in a six-man exhibition contest in which players hit shots at a floating target 100 yards away ahead of next week's Hero World Challenge.
Joining Tiger in The Bahamas are Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, Gary Woodland, Bryson DeChambeau, and Henrik Stenson.
Players will face off against each other with points awarded based on the proximity of their shots to the target: 500 points for a bull's-eye, 200 for the inner ring, and 100 for the outer ring. Each player receives six shots, and the final ball is worth double.
Round 1 matchups were announced Tuesday:
- Woods vs. DeChambeau
- Spieth vs. Woodland
- Rahm vs. Stenson
Winners of the head-to-head matches will compete in Round 2, with the top two scores advancing to the final.
The Hero Shot at Baha Mar will take place Dec. 2 at 4:00 p.m. It will be streamed through the social media platforms of GolfTV, PGA Tour, and TGR Live.
The 18-man Hero World Challenge, which benefits Tiger's foundation, begins Dec. 4.
