Harris English carded a 7-under 64 in Round 2 of the Mayakoba Golf Classic on Saturday to hold a one-shot lead with 36 holes remaining.
The 30-year-old turned in a bogey-free performance on the heels of yesterday's 65 to sit at 13-under par for the tournament. English won the 2013 Mayakoba Classic for his second PGA Tour victory and has already recorded three top-six results in four events played this season.
Vaughn Taylor is alone in second after a 66 in Round 2.
First-round leader Danny Lee shot 70 after torching El Camaleon Golf Club with a 9-under 62 to open his week in Mexico. He's three shots back of English in a tie for fourth.

The bizarre story of the day belonged to Russell Henley, who was handed eight penalty strokes for mistakenly switching to a different type of ball in the middle of his round. He reported his own rules infraction and will miss the cut as a result.
With rain canceling Thursday, players will attempt to complete all of Round 3 and 4 on Sunday with the potential for a Monday finish. The third round will be played in threesomes teeing off Nos. 1 and 10.
