Cameron Champ surged into top spot at the Safeway Open after posting a third-round 67 on Saturday.

The 24-year-old holds a three-stroke lead over Sebastian Munoz and Canadians Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor. He'll earn the second victory of his young PGA Tour career if he holds on Sunday in Napa, California.

Champ has been dialed in all tournament, firing 67-68-67 so far. The youngster said Friday that he's playing for his grandfather, who is currently suffering from Stage IV stomach cancer.

Bryson DeChambeau entered moving day with a two-stroke lead on the field but struggled with a 4-over 76 to fall all the way to a tie for 15th heading into the final round.

Other notables near the top of the leaderboard include phenom Collin Morikawa and world No. 6 Justin Thomas, who are both at 10-under for the week.
