Tiger ends season with even-par 72 at BMW Championship
Tiger Woods' hopes of defending his title at the Tour Championship are over.
The 43-year-old carded an even-par 72 in Round 4 of the BMW Championship to finish outside of the top 30 for the tournament, which won't be enough to advance him to next week's season finale.
Woods needed to turn in another spectacular round on Sunday after shooting a bogey-free 67 on Day 3. However, he recorded three bogeys and no back-nine birdies to finish the event at 7-under par.
With his result at Medinah Country Club, Tiger's 2018-19 season comes to an end. He posted five top-15 finishes in 12 events, highlighted by his thrilling 15th major championship win at the Masters in April.
Next, Tiger will captain the American Presidents Cup team headed to Australia's Royal Melbourne in December. He'll have to decide whether to select himself as a playing captain when picks are made in the near future.
