Shane Lowry is leaving Royal Portrush with the Claret Jug and over $1.9 million after a six-shot win at the Open Championship on Sunday.

The total purse for the 148th playing of golf's oldest major was $10,750,000, with Lowry claiming the top prize. Tommy Fleetwood's second-place finish saw him bring in $1,120,000, and Tony Finau pocketed $718,000 for his third-place showing.

Trying conditions led to plenty of leaderboard movement on Sunday, with no player losing out on more money than J.B. Holmes. The veteran American entered the day in third, and he would have earned $718,000 for that finish. Instead, Holmes goes home with just $25,088 after a disastrous day when he shot a 16-over 87, finishing tied for 67th.
