Bryson DeChambeau apologized Friday for damaging the practice putting green after his first round at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

DeChambeau issued his apology via Twitter.
I want to apologize to my fans, fellow players and the staff at Chapultepec for my actions following the round yesterday. I am an extremely passionate player and I am always working on ways to be better.

I am certainly not perfect but I respect the grounds staff and the game of golf and am focused on working harder on this just like I do on my golf game.

It's the second straight week that DeChambeau's been caught on camera damaging a course. Last week, he took a chunk out of a greenside bunker at Riviera Country Club:

DeChambeau did not release a statement addressing his behavior at the Genesis Open.
