Cameron Champ 'forgot what par was' during 2nd-round 62

Talk about being locked in.

Cameron Champ was so dialed in during a 9-under 62 performance in Round 2 of the Mayakoba Golf Classic on Friday that not only did the thought of shooting 59 never occur to him, the par at El Camaleon Golf Club slipped his mind.

"I forgot what par was, to be honest," Champ said after his round when asked if he thought about breaking 60, according to Golf Channel. "I was just flowing, kind of in the zone really. I was just trying to execute each shot at a time."

He bogeyed his final hole but carded eight birdies and an eagle to record the lowest round of his short PGA Tour career.

"I'm very comfortable out here and I'm just playing stress-free," Champ said.

The sensational rookie talent is averaging 330 yards off the tee through two rounds to lead the field in Mexico.

Champ picked up his first win on Tour two weeks ago at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
