Brandt Snedeker has withdrawn from The Northern Trust with back spasms, the PGA Tour announced Thursday.
The injury was originally reported as a chest injury, but Snedeker's manager and the PGA Tour later clarified.

The injury comes following the 37-year-old's wire-to-wire victory last weekend at the Wyndham Championship.
It's a blow to Snedeker as he was looking to earn a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team as a captain's pick, according to Golf Channel's Todd Lewis.
Snedeker entered this weekend - the first playoff event - sitting 30th in the FedExCup standings.
