Graeme McDowell was forced to withdraw from an Open Championship qualifier Tuesday after Air France lost his clubs on a flight from Paris to Manchester.

McDowell was set to play in a 36-hole qualifier at St. Anne's near Blackpool, England, after playing in last week's Open de France.

Renting a set didn't seem to be an option for the 2010 U.S. Open champ.

As he mentions, McDowell will be in action for this week's Irish Open and next week's Scottish Open, which award three Open Championship spots apiece.

The Open Championship will get underway July 19 at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.
