Koepka takes home golf's largest payday with U.S. Open title

Brooks Koepka took home a massive payday Sunday with his U.S. Open victory, collecting a cool $2.16 million for his four-day effort.

Koepka's second consecutive U.S. Open title brings his career earnings to over $17.5 million in only six seasons on Tour.

Runner-up Tommy Fleetwood will also cash a seven-figure check, as his performance at Shinnecock Hills paid $1.296 million.

Dustin Johnson - who finished alone in third - sank a birdie putt on his final hole to pay him an extra $121,521 instead of splitting the third- and fourth-place prizes with Patrick Reed.
