Mackenzie Hughes shot a 2-over 73 in Friday's second round to make his third cut of the season at the Wells Fargo Championship.
The 27-year-old's seven birdies through two rounds ranks inside the top 20, but his seven bogeys and one double-bogey kept him 2-over for the tournament, just inside the cut line.
Hughes tied for 31st at last year's Wells Fargo Championship, which propelled him to a tied-for-16th result at the 2018 PLAYERS Championship the following week.
The Charlotte resident will look to repeat last year's success this weekend with THE PLAYERS right around the corner.
