Tiger Woods came into the 2000 Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the heels of winning his previous five events, but the streak looked to be over entering the Monday finish.
Woods trailed Matt Gogel by seven shots with just seven holes remaining in the final-round. Tiger would narrow the lead to four by the 15th hole and then hit what would be the defining shot at the tournament, holing his wedge shot form 97-yards.
Woods would add birdies at No. 16 and the par-5 18th to card an 8-under 64 and a two shot victory for his first of two wins at Pebble Beach that season.
In June, Woods would win his first U.S. Open in record fashion, lapping the field by 15 shots!
