Woods finishes 4-under after final-round 76 at Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods' latest comeback is complete.
Woods shot a 4-over 76 on Sunday in the fourth round of the Hero World Challenge, finishing the tournament 4-under par and carding a tourney-best 24 birdies.
Round | Score |
---|---|
1 | 73 (+1) |
2 | 65 (-7) |
3 | 70 (-2) |
4 | 76 (+4) |
Total | 284 (-4) |
Tiger leaves the Bahamas with plenty of positives, despite placing 15th out of 17 competitors at the tournament he hosts annually. It was his first competitive action in more than a year.
Woods had five birdies Sunday, including three straight on holes 7, 8, and 9, but carded three bogeys and three double-bogeys on the day. Hole 18, in particular, proved challenging for Woods all week - he double-bogeyed the hole in three of his four rounds. Woods' six double-bogeys on the week led the field, too.
While the 40-year-old won't be pleased after finishing only 4-under on the par 5s over the week, his being able to play four competitive rounds is all that matters as he looks ahead to the 2017 season.
He's back.
