As Usain Bolt took the baton for the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay, the Jamaican team appeared to be a step behind Japan. At the very best, Bolt was side-by-side with Japanese anchor, Jamaican-born, Aska Cambridge when he took over. That didn't last long.

Within a space of a few meters, Bolt separated himself from the pack, once again proving why he's the best sprinter the world has ever seen. By the end, Bolt had put a comfortable cushion between himself and the rest of the competition, allowing him to cruise across the finish line for Olympic gold-medal number nine.

Bolt has stated Rio will be his final Olympics, and he leaves one more lasting image of blowing away his contemporaries. This one-in-a-lifetime talent provided so many incredible performances over the years, but it can't last forever, so be sure to enjoy his last moment of Olympic glory.
