Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won't play for Team USA at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater.

Curry was reportedly debating whether to participate in the last few weeks but ultimately opted against playing.

The NBA's scoring champion is coming off a fantastic 2020-21 campaign that saw him finish third in MVP voting. Curry averaged 32 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in 63 games.

Eight NBA stars have reportedly committed to play for Team USA so far, including Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Jayson Tatum.
