Mark Stone picked up his 15th and 16th goals of the season and added an assist as the Ottawa Senators downed the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-1 Monday.

The 23-year-old extended his goal-scoring streak to four games, giving him five goals and eight points in his last four contests.

Stone came close to collecting the hat trick, as with more than 8:30 left in the third period and his team down 4-1, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper decided to pull goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy.

The Lightning were able to pepper the Senators until finally with 4:38 left Jean-Gabriel Pageau put a puck into the empty net.

Stone now sits tied for third in team scoring with 41 points in 52 games.
