A weekend off did not fully help what's ailing Evgeni Malkin.

The Pittsburgh Penguins center, who missed the last two games with a nagging lower-body injury, will not suit up for Monday's meeting with Anaheim.

Malkin sits in a tie with Sidney Crosby for the team lead in points (49), and will look to re-enter the lineup as soon as Wednesday, when Pittsburgh hosts the New York Rangers.
