Ryan Getzlaf scores 1st even-strength goal ... in Game No. 49
The monkey, as they say, is off Ryan Getzlaf's back.
The Anaheim Ducks captain scored his first even-strength goal this season - in Game No. 49 of the season. The tally came Thursday night off a delicate saucer feed from his new winger, David Perron.

Perron has provided a major lift to the team, but especially to Getzlaf since coming over in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He scored his third goal (and seventh point in six games) with the club moments after Getzlaf's marker, which actually gave the captain 500 assists for his career.
