The Toronto Maple Leafs organization is giving Ray Emery a shot.

The 33-year-old goaltender signed a professional tryout agreement with the AHL's Toronto Marlies on Friday.

Maple Leafs goaltenders James Reimer and Garret Sparks are both dealing with injuries, leaving the club with only four healthy netminders in their entire system.

Emery was released from a tryout with the Los Angeles Kings' AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, earlier this month. He went 1-1-1 with the Reign, and allowed 10 goals in three games.

He had a KHL deal fall through this week due to immigration delays, TSN's Darren Dreger reports.

Emery posted a 3.06 GAA and .894 save percentage in 31 games as the Philadelphia Flyers' backup goalie last season.
