Smith-Pelly (lower body) won't play Thursday against the Red Wings.
Analysis:
Smith-Pelly is still dealing with a lower-body injury he likely suffered in last Thursday's game against the Capitals, and won't suit up for Thursday's matchup with Detroit as a result. The ailment isn't believed to be overly serious, so Smith-Pelly could return to action as soon as Saturday against Ottawa. He's still on injured reserve, however, so the Canadiens should announce his activation once the 23-year-old winger is fit to play.
