Who says the shootout isn't as exciting as 3-on-3 overtime?
The New York Islanders and Florida Panthers scored on their first nine combined attempts Friday in what was undoubtedly one of the highest scoring shootouts you will ever see.
Roberto Luongo finally put an end to the madness, stopping Brock Nelson for the Panthers' victory.
Roberto Luongo said of #Islanders scored 5th straight in SO he was going to let Al Montoya give it a try. #FlaPanthers went 5-5, NYI 4-5

Jaroslav Halak wasn't as lucky at the other end, failing to stop any of the five shooters he faced. To be fair, there wasn't much he could do on Aleksander Barkov's nasty winner.
