Jets' Burmistrov fined for elbow on Wild's Spurgeon
Bruce Fedyck-USA TODAY Sports
Winnipeg Jets forward Alex Burmistrov has been fined $4,166.67 for his elbow on Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon.
The incident occurred during the second period of the Jets' 5-4 win on Sunday. Burmistrov received a two-minute minor for elbowing on the play, and didn't look to disagree with the call after watching a replay from the penalty box.
The fine is the maximum allowable under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
