Here are theScore's winger value rankings for Friday, October 23:
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | T.J. Oshie (WAS) | at EDM | Low |
| 2 | Max Pacioretty (MON) | at BUF | Low |
| 3 | Alex Ovechkin (WAS) | at EDM | Low |
| 4 | Taylor Hall (EDM) | vs. WAS | Low |
| 5 | Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) | vs. DET | Low |
| 6 | Blake Wheeler (WPG) | vs. TB | Low |
| 7 | Justin Abdelkader (DET) | at CGY | Low |
| 8 | Nikolaj Ehlers (WPG) | vs. TB | Low |
| 9 | Gustav Nyquist (DET) | at CGY | Low |
| 10 | Loui Eriksson (BOS) | at NYI | Low |
Since the return of Nicklas Backstrom, Oshie and Ovechkin have been putting up big numbers - six points in two games combined, to be exact. The Red Wings' Abdelkader and Nyquist provide great matchups against a poor goaltending tandem in Calgary while the Canadiens' Pacioretty should continue to play well in Buffalo.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |

| 11 | Jiri Hudler (CGY) | vs. DET | Medium |
| 12 | Brendan Gallagher (MON) | at BUF | Medium |
| 13 | Marcus Johansson (WAS) | at EDM | Medium |
| 14 | Nail Yakupov (EDM) | vs. WAS | Medium |
| 15 | Jimmy Hayes (BOS) | at NYI | Medium |

| 22 | Milan Lucic (LA) | vs. CAR | Medium |
| 23 | David Pastrnak (BOS) | at NYI | Medium |
| 24 | Kyle Okposo (NYI) | vs. BOS | Medium |
| 25 | Tyler Toffoli (LA) | vs. CAR | Medium |
| 26 | Ondrej Palat (TB) | vs. WPG | Medium |
| 27 | Marian Gaborik (LA) | vs. CAR | Medium |
| 28 | Ryan Callahan (TB) | at WPG | Medium |
| 29 | Justin Williams (WAS) | at EDM | Medium |
| 30 | Brock McGinn (CAR) | at LA | Medium |
The Lightning trio face a tough matchup and an even tougher checking line in Winnipeg, but should put up viable fantasy numbers for their price tag. Hudler is always a threat to put up a multi-point night while Gallagher continues his early-season success with Pacioretty and the Kings-Hurricanes game favors the Kings' top two lines against a struggling Carolina defense.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 31 | Jeff Skinner (CAR) | at LA | High |
| 32 | Dustin Brown (LA) | vs. CAR | High |
| 33 | Tanner Pearson (LA) | vs. CAR | High |
| 34 | Evander Kane (BUF) | vs. MON | High |
| 35 | Rob Klinkhammer (EDM) | vs. WAS | High |
| 36 | Jason Chimera (WAS) | at EDM | High |
| 37 | Ryan O'Reilly (BUF) | vs. MON | High |
| 38 | Benoit Pouliot (EDM) | vs. WAS | High |
| 39 | Michael Frolik (CGY) | vs. DET | High |
| 40 | Kris Versteeg (CAR) | at LA | High |
There really is nothing to see here - Skinner has been dropped to the third line while the other Hurricanes and Kings scorers don't have a ton of upside. Kane and O'Reilly face a tough matchup; even with Canadiens superstar goalie Carey Price sitting this one out, Mike Condon and the Habs' stout defense should shut the door. Frolik and Klinkhammer lack the talent to be effective even though they play on their teams' first line.
