Keith Aulie was released from his professional tryout contract on Sunday, Lightning beat writer Erik Erlendsson reports.
Analysis:
Aulie signed a PTO agreement with the Arizona Coyotes at the beginning of September, but didn't do enough to secure a spot on the final roster. He spent the 2014-15 season with the Oilers, playing in just 31 games, but he'll now head back to the open market in search for another NHL look.
