Jussi Rynnas is Russia bound.
The Dallas Stars placed the goaltender on unconditional waivers Thursday, paving the way for his departure, and the signing of a contract with KHL club Ak Bars Kazan.
The 28-year-old appeared in only two games for the Stars last season, spending the majority of his time down in the AHL.
Rynnas has five career games on his NHL resume, failing to record a win, with a save percentage of .844.
