The Washington Capitals forward underwent elbow surgery Wednesday, the club has announced.
"According to the doctors who performed the surgery, if rehabilitation goes well, Eric will be healthy for the start of the 2015-16 regular season," the Capitals said in the statement.
Fehr was limited to four playoff games due to injury, and recorded 19 goals and 14 assists in 75 regular season contests.
