One night after the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Anaheim Ducks in triple-overtime, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov wasn't interested in playing that long.
Kucherov beat New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist with a wrist shot less than four minutes into the first overtime period, giving the Lightning a 6-5 victory and a 2-1 series lead.

Kucherov assisted on Ondrej Palat's goal that gave Tampa Bay a 5-4 lead before Rangers defenseman Dan Boyle tied it at 5-5 with less than two minutes remaining.
The "triplets" line of Kucherov, Palat and Tyler Johnson accounted for four of the Lightning's six goals.
