Dec. 7, 2008 - Toronto hires Nonis as senior vice president of hockey operations, uniting him with Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke for a third time following stints with the Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks.
April 3, 2009 - Toronto signs college free agent Tyler Bozak to a two-year, entry-level contract.
July 4, 2009 - Toronto signs free agents Colton Orr (four years) and Mike Komisarek (five years) to lengthy contracts.
Sept. 18, 2009 - Toronto acquires Phil Kessel from the Boston Bruins for two first-round picks and a second-round pick.
Jan. 31, 2010 - Toronto acquires Dion Phaneuf from the Calgary Flames for a package including Matt Stajan and Ian White.
