The Pittsburgh Penguins will be down to five defensemen for the rest of Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators.
Derrick Pouliot left late in the second period after appearing to injure himself.
The news adds injury to insult, as the Senators' lone goal in the second period went in off Pouliot's skate.
