Coyotes' Hanzal, Boedker done for season
Matt Kartozian / US PRESSWIRE
The Arizona Coyotes might not win again this season.
Don Maloney announced Sunday that forwards Mikkel Boedker and Martin Hanzal won't return to the lineup this season in order to fully heal their respective injuries.
Boedker, a free agent at the end of this season, underwent surgery to repair a ruptured spleen in late January.
Hanzal also had surgery to heal an ailing back.
The announcement comes on the heels of Arizona pulling off separate deals to move Antoine Vermette and Keith Yandle, acquiring Anthony Duclair and a bounty of prospects.
