Spurgeon (face) was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Analysis:
Spurgeon has already been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Oilers while he continues to deal with suspected concussion symptoms. His IR stint is backdated to Feb. 18, which would allow him to return to action Thursday against the Predators if he's fully healthy by that point.
