A brush with Alex Ovechkin may have been costly for Christian Ehrhoff.

The Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman was sent back to Pittsburgh on Friday and is set to undergo concussion tests, head coach Mike Johnston has announced.

As a result, Ehrhoff won't be available for Friday's game against the New Jersey Devils.

In 43 games, Ehrhoff, who was hit hard into the boards by Ovechkin on Wednesday, recorded three goals, ten assists and 94 shots.
