With a chance to put the New York Rangers up three, St. Louis slid a tap-in attempt from "gimme" range through the crease and out behind San Jose Sharks goaltender Antti Niemi. 

And with Dan Boyle fronting the skins in his return to San Jose? That's a costly miss.
