The Dallas Stars trailed by three goals in the second period but came back to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in a shootout at Rexall Place in Edmonton on Sunday.

The Oilers trailed 2-1 heading into the second frame but scored four goals in the period, including Taylor Hall's second of the game, to take a 5-2 lead.

Jamie Benn got Dallas back into it with 21 seconds remaining in the second period, and the Stars Twitter account foreshadowed the impending rally.

Tyler Seguin scored less than a minute into the third period to cut the lead to one, then scored again, less than nine minutes later, to tie the score 5-5. Stars forward Shawn Horcoff ended an eight-round shootout with the game-winning goal, extending Dallas' win streak to four.

The Oilers have now lost seven consecutive games and nine of their last 10
