Report: Senators' Methot 'very likely' to make season debut Tuesday
The Ottawa Senators' over-matched defense-corps is likely to receive a major boost Tuesday with Marc Methot set to make his season debut against the New York Islanders, according to TSN's Aaron Ward:
If #Sens morning skate goes well, indications are Marc Methot very likely to make his season debut tomorrow night against #Islanders #TSN

CBC's Dan Seguin suggests that the club will make their decision on whether or not Methot plays against the Islanders on Tuesday morning.
Methot, 29, is a capable top-four defenseman and a pending unrestricted free agent.
The Senators' defense has struggled enormously with moving the puck and playing away from it in the early going, so Methot's return might reasonably be expected to provide the Senators with a boost that they desperately need.
