Two young forwards put on a bit of a show during the second period of Wednesday's game between the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals.
First, the ever-emerging Gustav Nyquist found himself all alone in front of Braden Holtby and batted in his own rebound out of the air after a series of befuddling moves with his stick. The goal was his fifth of the season so far.

A few minutes later, Evgeny Kuznetsov scored his first goal of the season on a similarly impressive movein front of Jimmy Howard.

If this were a game of H-O-R-S-E, neither would have picked up a letter after the first round.
