The Tampa Bay Lightning's early-season parade has been hit with some rain.

Defenseman Victor Hedman is set to have surgery on a fractured finger and will be out of the lineup for four-to-six weeks, according to multiple sources, including Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times.

The team confirmed the news Monday afternoon.

It's a big blow for the 3-1-1 Lightning, as Hedman had recorded seven points in five games and an even-strength Corsi For percentage of 55.17 while shutting down the opposition's top guns.

The injury is reminiscent of the fractured fibula suffered by Steven Stamkos last season, albeit with a much quicker timeline for recovery.
