Free-agent forward Jordin Tootoo signed an undisclosed deal with the New Jersey Devils Tuesday afternoon, team president and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced.
Tootoo played 11 games with the Detroit Red Wings last season and joined the Devils on a tryout this preseason. He enters his 11th NHL season with 539 career games under his belt and 134 points.
Lamoriello and Tootoo sat down Tuesday to come to terms just in time for the start of the regular season.
