After a report from RDS's Vinny Damphousse was released that Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin had inquired about Martin Brodeur's availability, rumors have begun to swirl again.

Tom Gulitti is reporting Brodeur's agent Pat Brisson is confident teams will start calling about the veteran goaltender, but he won't be on the ice next week when camps open.

Brodeur has said he would gladly be a backup for a contender so he can win one last Stanley Cup.
