Carolina Hurricanes players, like captain Eric Staal, have gathered in Raleigh, N.C. to take part in informal skates prior to the opening of training camp in just over two weeks time. 

If this totally unedited and unaltered Instagram video that the Hurricanes posted on Tuesday morning is any indication, this club is going to have speed to burn this upcoming season:

Watch out, Metropolitan Division. Good luck keeping up with this team of Flash Gordons on ice. 

On a more serious note, that looks like a tough spot of interval training. Clearly, the Hurricanes players are taking their preparations for the VO2 Max test seriously.
