Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning addressed reports that goaltender Jacob Markstrom requested a trade in light of the signing of Ryan Miller, debunking that notion.
Benning on G JacobMarkstrom: "He hasn't requested a trade. We talked to him the other day. He's going to come to camp with a good attitude."

Benning previously stated the team was "exploring" a trade for Markstrom, but perhaps the market simply wasn't there for a $1.2 million goalie with a career .896 save percentage.
