Marc DesRosiers / USA TODAY Sports
Finnish defenseman Sami Salo may become a free agent this week as his two-year, $7.5-million contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning expires, but he's not ready to retire.
Sami Salo may turn 40 in September but he still wants to play in the NHL next year. Add him to the mix.

Salo appeared in 71 games with the Lightning last season - the most since 2003-04 - and finished with 17 points. Salo has struggled with injury over the last few seasons but appears to be healthy enough to give another NHL season a shot.
