Penguins recall Tomas Vokoun ahead of playoffs
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled veteran goaltender Tomas Vokoun from the AHL's Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins ahead of Wednesday's playoff opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Vokoun was loaned to the AHL team on April 8th, and has solved the blood clot issue he was dealing with during the season. The clot required emergency surgery in October.
