Monday's game against the Boston Bruins was supposed to be New York Islanders goaltender Evgeni Nabokov's first game back from injury to observe. Instead, the Bruins laid it on thick scoring six goals.

Nabokov would come in midway through the third period after a wrister from Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara would get past Kevin Poulin. Poulin faced 36 shots total before he was pulled.
