The Pittsburgh Penguins have released an update concerning Brooks Orpik's condition:
ORPIK UPDATE: Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he is alert and conscious.

Orpik left Saturday night's game between the Penguins and the Bruins on a stretcher following an altercation with Bruins forward Shawn Thornton.
