GIF: Joe Pavelski dekes Ben Scrivens out of his pads

San Jose Sharks forward Joe Pavelski has one of the most dependable shootout moves of any forward in the league. Usually Pavelski drags goaltenders to their left by skating at an angle as if he's going forehand, then he rifles the puck short-side with a snapshot.

It's a deceptive move that has essentially been automatic for Pavelski over the past few seasons (he's shot nearly 40% on 63 shootout attempts in his career).

On Wednesday night against Kings goaltender Ben Scrivens, Pavelski tried something new - a stutter stop followed by a backhand, forehand deke that completely flummoxed Scrivens. It was completely awesome, and here it is in .gif form:
