The Boston Bruins placed rookie forward James Hagens on injured reserve with an undisclosed ailment, the team announced Saturday.
Hagens will miss at least a week. He left Thursday's win against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third period and didn't return after a cross-check from defenseman Samuel Girard.

Boston is 12-4-1 and leads the Atlantic Division with 25 points.
