Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid is a game-time decision for Tuesday's must-win Game 5 against the Anaheim Ducks, head coach Kris Knoblauch said, according to TSN's Chris Johnston.
McDavid was absent from the Oilers' morning skate at Rogers Place.
Edmonton trails 3-1 in the series and needs to win the next three games to advance to the second round.
McDavid appeared to injure his ankle during Game 2 but has played in every contest in the series. He has one goal and four points after being held off the scoresheet in the first two playoff contests.
McDavid recorded 48 goals and a league-leading 138 points while playing in all 82 games in the regular season.
The Oilers are turning back to goaltender Connor Ingram for Game 5. Tristan Jarry started over Ingram in Game 4, making 34 saves on 38 shots in the 4-3 overtime loss. Ingram has a .849 save percentage in three starts this postseason.
